  2. Step 2: Report to SZV online via MySZV portal.
  3. Step 3: The SZV control doctor will call you the same day. Do not miss the call!

  • Request your personal MySZV account to check your medical insurance status.
  • If your status is valid: show a valid Sint Maarten ID card or passport to your health care provider.
  • If your status is not valid: use our webform to contact SZV.

Situations requiring our webform: first-time ZV applicant, first-time 62+/FZOG applicant, or FZOG renewal.

Report online for maternity leave up to 2 months before your expected due date.

Baby Guarantee Letter: Cannot be requested before your 7th month of pregnancy. At least one parent must have residency. The breadwinner must be ZV insured.

New Born Registration: Register your newborn within 10 working days.

  • The newborn can be registered as a dependent of the head insured.
  • E-mail a scanned copy of the census registration form and birth certificate to insured@szv.sx.

We advise applying 6 months in advance of reaching pensionable age. When can you apply:

  • Born before 1958: apply at age 60.
  • Born 1958, 1959, or before July 1, 1960: apply at age 62.
  • Born from July 1, 1960 onwards: apply at age 65.

Submit the application form and required documents by e-mail to benefits@szv.sx. After applying, SZV will contact you within 3 to 6 months if questions arise.

Patients do NOT come to SZV for approvals or stamps for diabetic strips, lancets, or medical aids.

Your treating physician will write a prescription and provide it directly to the pharmacy or medicosmetics provider, who will then e-mail SZV for authorization.

Approvals are given for 1 month at a time.
